Tribute acts have become a big part of the live music scene across the Wirral, bringing well-known artists and eras back to the stage in a way that’s perfect for a night out close to home. From huge pop productions to classic rock and indie favourites, there’s a strong mix of shows lined up across local venues.

Iconic Pop Stars Brought to Life

Some of the biggest pop names in history are heading to Wirral venues this year.

Taylormania arrives at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton on 17 April, with award-winning Swiftie Katy Ellis and a full live band covering everything from Love Story to Shake It Off.

Born Gaga takes to the stage at The Northern Powerhouse in Birkenhead on 4 September for a night celebrating Lady Gaga’s biggest hits.

Take That Back returns to Heswall Hall on 4 September following a sell-out night in 2025. Doors open at 6:30pm with 2-4-1 cocktails until 8pm. Note this is a 16+ event.

P!nk comes to the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight on 26 September, with Vicky Jackson, recognised as the definitive Pink tribute, delivering phenomenal vocals, bespoke costumes and all the major hits.

What’s Love Got To Do With It brings its Tina Turner tribute to the Floral Pavilion on 11 November. Fresh from a 2025 tour that saw over 60,000 fans on their feet across the UK, the show stars Holly Bannis in the lead role, earning standing ovations night after night with classics including Proud Mary, Simply The Best and Nutbush City Limits.

Legends of Rock

Rock fans are well catered for across the peninsula this year.

Fleetwood Shack bring their homage to Fleetwood Mac to Heswall Hall on 24 April, committed to capturing the love, emotion and mystical aura of the band’s music. Note this event is 16+.

Postponed until September, Anything for Meat Loaf hits The Northern Powerhouse in Birkenhead, featuring ‘Merseyside Meatloaf’ Corey Morgan on vocals.

The Radiohead Project performs at the Floral Pavilion on 7 May, covering the full sweep of Radiohead’s catalogue from Creep and Karma Police through to Weird Fishes, with powerful visuals to match.

The Upbeat Beatles arrive at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight on 22 May, taking audiences through the Fab Four’s full career with authentic instruments, costume changes, multimedia and an ensemble cast of West End-experienced musicians.

Red Hot Chilli Pipers, the world’s most famous bagpipe rock band, return to the Floral Pavilion on 29 May. Bigger and louder than their sold-out 2022 visit, expect iconic mashups, driving percussion and the return of the infamous Chilli Dancers.

Coldplace, the only Coldplay tribute to have worked directly with the band, brings their full production to the Gladstone Theatre on 11 September, complete with Xyloband wristbands, lasers and confetti.

Bon Jovi Experience hits the Floral Pavilion on 3 September, direct from London’s West End and endorsed by Jon Bon Jovi himself, with frontman Tony Pearce leading the band through Livin’ on a Prayer, Always, It’s My Life and more.

U2:UK return to Heswall Hall on 2 October for what promises to be another sell-out night. They’ve performed at U2’s own after-show parties in Europe and have filled the Hall multiple times before, so booking early is advisable.

The Kings of Pop and Hip-Hop

Two of music’s most electrifying performers get their due on the Wirral this year.

Man in the Mirror brings a full production tribute to Michael Jackson to the Floral Pavilion on 8 May, starring CJ, one of the world’s leading MJ tribute artists, with dazzling choreography, authentic costumes and a setlist featuring Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It and Smooth Criminal.

The Eminem Show hits The Northern Powerhouse in Birkenhead on 24 July, billed as the UK’s most authentic tribute to Slim Shady, capturing the raw intensity and lyrical genius that made Eminem one of hip-hop’s all-time greats.

The Voices That Defined a Generation

For fans of legendary vocalists, there’s a brilliant run of shows coming up.

Legend, The Music of Bob Marley brings a two-hour celebration of reggae’s greatest icon to the Floral Pavilion on 28 May, fresh from a sell-out run at London’s Adelphi Theatre, covering No Woman No Cry, One Love, Exodus and many more.

Queen of the Night arrives at the Floral Pavilion on 27 August, the UK’s biggest Whitney Houston tribute, which has played the Royal Albert Hall and London Palladium, bringing three decades of hits including I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

Elvis, R.E.M. and the Icons of an Era

One Night of Elvis, Lee Memphis King comes to the Floral Pavilion on 20 September. Widely regarded as Europe’s most successful Elvis tribute artist, this production focuses on the iconic Vegas Years from 1969 to 1977, backed by a full orchestra with authentic costuming and video projection.

At Heswall Hall on 12 September, R.E.M. by Stipe offer what the band themselves describe as the next best thing to R.E.M. being back on tour, four musicians who genuinely embody Berry, Buck, Mills and Stipe, with a different setlist every night.

Later in October, Glory Days bring their Springsteen tribute to Heswall Hall on 24 October. The UK’s longest-running Bruce tribute, established back in 1996 with nearly 30 years on the road, they’ve built a loyal following across dedicated Springsteen fan clubs worldwide.

Folk, Country and the Singer-Songwriters

For fans of more song-driven performances, there’s a strong selection heading to the Wirral too.

Simply Dylan, John O’Connell’s Bob Dylan concert, comes to Heswall Royal British Legion on 30 May. It’s also a fundraising event in aid of Claire House, making it a great reason to attend.

A Tribute to Eddie Vedder takes place at Thornton Hough Village Club on 3 October, covering Pearl Jam’s iconic frontman across his full 35+ year recording history, from the debut Ten through to film soundtracks, Ukulele Songs and Lightning Bolt.

Johnny Cash Roadshow arrives at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight on 3 October, set on a Folsom Prison-style stage with award-winning Clive John as Cash, joined by Ashley Cavell as June Carter and an ensemble of world-class musicians.

Prog, Pop Classics and the Big Voices

Sexbomb: Celebrating the Music of Sir Tom Jones comes to the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight on 9 October, featuring Andy Wood, who has spent over 35 years entertaining Tom Jones fans worldwide, backed by an outstanding band for two hours of iconic hits.

MAMA – Genesis Tribute Band return to Heswall Hall on 17 October, having sold out the venue for four consecutive years. Their show spans Genesis’ entire career from the Peter Gabriel years through the Phil Collins era, with a setlist including Mama, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, In The Air Tonight and many more. Get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Celebrating Barry – The Ultimate Manilow Show comes to the Gladstone Theatre on 11 July, with multi-award-winning tribute artist Wayne Denton recreating Manilow’s legendary Las Vegas residency shows, backed by the City Rhythm live band. Copacabana, Mandy, Could It Be Magic and plenty more besides.
