City Nature Challenge

24 Apr - 27 Apr

Interested in Nature in your local area and want to learn more and take part in a global event? Then this event is for you!

Whether you’re a seasoned nature lover or just fancy trying something new, this is your chance to explore the wildlife right on your doorstep.

The City Nature Challenge is a global event where people work together to record as many plants, animals, and fungi as possible in their local area. Every observation counts!

Wirral is taking part in the City Nature Challenge this year under the umbrella of the Liverpool City Region, and we’re hoping to encourage as many people as possible to partake in this global bioblitz. The City Nature Challenge takes place Friday 24 April until Monday 27 April, and there are several events held across the Wirral across all dates. You don’t need any biological recording experience, everyone is welcome, all you need is a working (and charged) smartphone with the iNaturalist app installed.

Important: We do our best to keep event information accurate but details can change, availability may be limited and booking may be required. Please check with official event sources before attending. Events are populated by ourselves and/or user submissions. Submit an event for free.
