Meet local historian Dr Anthony Annakin-Smith as he discusses his new book, ‘Left But Not Forgotten: the Children of the Foundling Hospital at Chester’. This moving talk explores the little-known history of the hundreds of young children, separated as babies from their poverty-striken parents and sent to Chester to care in the 1760’s. Learn about the city’s role in this extraordinary social development and the children’s lives and struggles.
