The Congos make their debut on Argyle Street this May. The Congos are one of the few of Jamaica’s iconic bands to retain their original lineup since the 1970s. Their gigs embody the true Rastafarian spirit to their shows, bringing powerful unity and a sense of cohesion. The band stay true to their roots and principles, and to their roots reggae album that made them legends. The Heart of the Congos (1977) is known for its smooth rhythms, bold basslines and crystalline harmonies. Their music moves and amazes audiences, evoking a strong spiritual presence.
